The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. By working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll hone your scuba skills, like effortless divemastering, and improve your rescue techniques, so you can anticipate and easily solve common problems. You will develop your knowledge and skills in diving management and supervision to become a role model in all areas for divers.

As a PADI Divemaster, you will guide others when supervising dive activities or function as an assistant during diver training. Whether you want to work at a remote dive destination or at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits. PADI Divemasters are respected diving professionals who align themselves with the most respected diving organization in the world – PADI.

PADI Rescue Divers who are at least 18 years old can enroll in the PADI Divemaster course. They must also:

  • Have completed Emergency First Response Primary Care and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the last 24 months.

  • Provide a Medical Statement signed by a physician and dated within the last 12 months.

  • Have logged at least 40 dives at the start of the course and 60 to obtain certification.

  • Role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster.

  • Supervision of general diving activities and assistant during training.

  • Diver safety and risk management.

  • Divemaster-led programs and specialty activities.

  • Diving business and your diving career.

    During your Divemaster training, your instructor may also offer you the PADI Deep Diver Specialties and the Search and Recovery Diver Search and Recovery Diver, to help you achieve all the requirements and expand your capabilities.

Equipement:

As a dive professional, you'll want to have your own basic dive gear, including a dive computer, a dive knife, and at least two surface signaling devices.
